# Ensuring your publication is not already in Pure

The quickest way to check if your work is not already in Pure is by performing a simple search.

Search functionality typically overlooks punctuation and missing words but is less tolerant of spelling errors.&#x20;

Pure also always checks for duplicate titles when you create a new entry.
